Study Shows Internet Radio Use On The Rise

A new report from Bridge Ratings says Internet radio use continues to rise.

Between July 5 and August 30, Bridge Ratings interviewed 3,500 persons 12+ on a national basis to determine their use of Terrestrial (Broadcast) radio, Satellite Radio, Internet Radio, MP3 Players and HD Radio.

The survey found that 60 million Americans listen to some form of Internet Radio in a typical week. Overall, the sample of 13+ persons spends more time with Internet radio than they do listening to their MP3 players, except for the 13-24-year-old age group, which spends over 21 hours a week listening to their MP3 players (more than any other medium).

When asked if they expect to be listening to these media "More, The Same or Less" in one year, 46 percent of respondents said they intend to listen to Internet radio more often.

The trend continues.
